5 Ave -Bryant Park - Repetitive Black and White

When it comes to repetitive patterns, black and white is what my photographic experience screams to me. Waiting for the train at 5th Ave and Bryant Park to arrive, I walked over to the other side of the platform to see the tracks making a C-shape which works much better compositionally than a straight line. I had my trusty 35mm prime and my walk around Canon 40D on hand, so there wasn't  choice to zoom in or out. And I was limited by the 40D's limited ISO range.
I metered for the platform tile area, locked my exposure, composed so I could get at least one column with a sign on it and took the photograph.

Camera Settings: ISO400, f/4, 1/30s (handheld)
Lightroom: Leveled, cropped and converted to black and white.
