If you look around your local forests, you will almost always find trees with some character to them. The trees above are a good example. The top picture looks like the tree had an itch and crossed its branch backwards to scratch it. The tree in the second picture looks almost like hands reaching to catch a falling object.
I must have over 3 dozen pictures of trees with character. Once you have about the same amount of shots you could make your own photo book for your coffee table.
The best part of shooting trees is they don't go away, if the light is bad, simply come back later and photograph it again.
