I was taking picture in doors and the lights around the curtains gave me an idea, hence the shot above.
Standing about 8-10 feet away from the lights set the focal length of your lens to 1 foot (manual focus). Set your aperture as wide as possible (in this case f/1.8) and take a shot. Adjusting the focal length will increase or decrease the size of the blurred lights.
I set a candle about a foot away from the lens (leaving the lights behind 8-10 feet away) and using the method listed above and shot the image.
Camera settings: ISO100, f/1.8, 1/60s
