How to Photograph Facing the Light Source

©Ankit Gajjar - All Rights Reserved

Shooting into the light is not something a lot of photographers are fond of due to multiple reasons, some of these being - flare, ghosting, overexposure, etc...

Remedies to some of these negative effects are:
  • Using a lens hood
  • Shooting at an angle to the light source
  • Shoot through leaves, brush, branches, etc...
  • Shooting through a clean lens
  • Installing a multicoated filter that prevents flare and ghosting
  • Using a small aperture (lager number)
Camera setting: ISO 100, f/22, 1/30s
Light room: Contrast, Saturation, Shadow/Highlights.
