Left work early today (thank you boss) being the long weekend and all. This was a good thing, gave me time to settle before the big end of the year celebration.
I walked around Manhattan with my faithful EOS 40D and 50mm f/1.8, this is a kit I carry with me always. As stated by a great photographer (Chase Jarvis) “the best camera is the one you are carrying with you right now”. The sky was bright and called for the f16 rule, however by the time I got to this shot, cloud cover was in and had to drop down to f11 instead @ 1/100s (ISO 100).  All in all it was a great day and the end of a good year.
