Fort Hancock

I love using fisheye lenses. Their ability to enhance the scene through distortion is unmatched. One thing to keep in mind  - never use the rule of third when using a fisheye lens, or your main subject will appear distorted.
The tricky part to using a fisheye lens is finding your balanced horizon, in this image I set my horizon at the bottom of the large center window on the building. This helped maintain a stable main subject.
The branches distorted and framed the building, this balanced the image and focuses the eye on the main subject the "house entry". Since the scene was slightly underexposed and the leaves above appeared very dark, I used an external flash at full power to lighten them up.

Camera settings: ISO100, f/5.6, 1/120s
